Giving Back: Kids Wish Network

The Grand Hyatt DFW is committed to offering assistance to those in need whenever possible.  So we were delighted when we were contacted by this organzation recently with the opportunity to assist in granting a wish for a 5-year-old boy named Donovan.  Here's a little bit more about him (courtesy of Kids Wish Network):

"Donovan is a fun-loving 5-year-old with a rambunctious, outgoing personality. He’s a big “Transformers” fan and can always be found with a toy from the movie nearby. Donovan also loves playing baseball and spending time with his 2-year-old brother.

At three months old, Donovan was diagnosed with having Cystic Fibrosis. This inherited disease clogs the lungs and digestive system, often leading to other life-threatening illnesses. Donovan must endure percussion vest treatments, twice daily breathing treatments and is on many different medications for this condition. In addition, Donovan’s condition also affects his body’s ability to absorb the necessary nutrients in food, so he must be fed via feeding tube.

For his wish, Donovan wanted to take a trip to Florida with his family to visit all the theme parks. Get ready to experience the magic, Donovan, because your wish is about to come true!"

Donovan and his family will be flying to Florida via DFW Airport, and we are pleased to be able to play a small role in granting this wish by providing a comfortable stay before their early morning flight and complimentary parking while they are enjoying the Florida sunshine!

Donovan is just one of the many children this organization is trying to assist.  The Network's wish kids are between the ages of 3 and 18 with life-threatening illnesses.  If you would like to know more about Kids Wish Network, please visit its website.  May all the children's wishes be granted!
